Statement of Faith

We believe that the chief end of man is to glorify God on earth through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Our responsibilities are to minister the Word of God in brotherly love and unity, to edify believers, to instruct children, and to spread the message of the gospel through out the world. (Rom 15:6; Col 3:16; Eph 3:9, 10, 21; 4:12-16; Matt 9:14; Acts 1:8)

We believe that the Scriptures are verbally and plenarily inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writings; and that they are the basis for our doctrine, practice, and habits both in public and private life; and that they are the supreme and final authority in all matters. (II Pet 1:19-21; II Tim 3:16,17; John 14: 21, 23)

We are trinitarian; we believe that God exists in three eternally distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Eph 4:4-6; Matt 3:16-17; I Pet 1:2; II Cor 13:14)

We believe that God came from Heaven and became the virgin-born Christ Jesus, Who, in God-man form, revealed the Father to men, died on the cross as the God-approved substitute Who paid the price for the sins of all men; and that men can only have the benefit of salvation by believing and receiving Jesus Christ through faith, at which time the Holy Spirit indwells such believers, bearing witness with their spirits that they truly belong to God. (John 1:14; 3:13-18; 5:24; 17:5; Rom 8:9, 10:9-13, 17; Col 2:14, 15; Heb 2:9)

We believe that man is hopelessly and helplessly lost, apart from saving faith in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, accomplished through His shed blood on the cross of Calvary. (Acts 26:18; Rom 3:9-12; Eph 1:7)

We believe that salvation is offered to all men, but that only those who accept Christ through faith will be saved. (I John 2:2; Heb 2:9; II Cor 5:4-5; John 6:37-40)

We believe that the local church is for the purpose of building up the saints, and training them to live and serve for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph 3:8-12; 4:10-16; I Tim 3:14-16; II Tim 2:1-2)

Weekly Verse

Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.

Isaiah 53:4-6
